The sign behind the Scout is what the picture is really about to me, however. “Back in the day” my grandfather (Papa), made a couple of these signs to point the way from the pavement to the ranch. This one is still standing, and as long as there’s a Mayfield at the end of that arrow, I’m sure it always will.
